a Vision of Beauty ~ Designs in StainedGlass

Among other things… I have been working in Stained Glass for 34 years! I opened my business designing custom windows and moved quickly into the teaching. My passion for the beauty of glass is one I would love to instill in all my students. Although not for the faint of heart (cuts, burns and practice!) it is always rewarding… and the possibilities are endless, only limited by your imagination! Retiring to WNC  has brought another aspect to my creations, adding semi-precious stones, crystals and geodes to designs, passion reignited!

I opened my business in 1987and because of constant relocation (military spouse!) I have moved my business with me! I have been all over the united states and overseas and have had the opportunity to view the passion of glass through other cultures.  I currently have my work displayed inchurches, businesses and in private homes all over the world.  I started instructing students on the techniques and construction of windows in 1992. I have taught various “Tiffany” (foil method) window and lamp classes at galleries, at Coastal Carolina Community College, McDowell Tech in Marion, MACA Mountain Gallery and Gifts in Morganton as well as at Arrowhead and private instruction to adults and summer children’s workshops as well.

 Repair

Some of my most rewarding work is when I have theopportunity to repair a one-of-a-kind, masterpiece and restore it to itsoriginal glory! I have restored a cherished family sun catcher, to an originaltiffany panel… all equally important!
