  • Gail Gill

I am very much a Zen artist feeling completely comfortable in the woods and the wonderful world we live in. As an artist, like most, I do a number of different mediums such as watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, oils, encaustics and stain glass. Believing in the healing properties of art, I encourage women to join me in the process of creating.

I am motivated by the woods, trees, gardening and the love of nature and believe in nurturing the creative artistic seed in everyone. Each piece I create is infused with meditative positive energy.

  • Sandy Herrault

I am a violinist/fiddler and artist living in Black Mountain. It's with great joy that I paint the subjects that mean the most to me; landscapes, animals, and sometimes a musical instrument. To me, part of being a musician and artist is to allow change to influence you and embrace the steps toward newness.

In 2022, my work, ‘Over the Blues’, featuring a Highland cow, won the Fine Art America Billboard contest, and was featured on a billboard in Atlanta.

  • Marci Lockwood

My work is inspired by the stone. I have to spend time contemplating the stone itself and the stone grain and texture. That starts letting me know how to carve it, how to shape it, and how to finish it. The stone itself is the medium so I have to listen to the stone and go with it.

  • Dink Michaels

I primarily work in watercolors and acrylics. With every finished piece of artwork I capture snippets of the natural world and all of its wonder and beauty. My artwork speaks of my passion and love of nature and is a reminder the natural world should always be sacred to each of us.

  • Karen Paquette

As an abstract artist I use an intuitive approach to express my style and to visually relate my imaginative process using my 40+ years of experimentation in various art forms. Mixed media lets me explore and experiment until what I see has a pleasing form with multi-layer texture and design. I am informed by the natural world and the mystery that lies beneath the surface of what we know. I hope my creations will spark the viewer’s imagination and provoke an inspiring visual experience.
